Alarm Monitoring

Monitoring is a service that increases the effectiveness of an Intruder Alarm System and enhances security when it is incorporated. It is applicable to systems installed in both residential and commercial premises. An activation of the system will not only ring the bells locally but will also automatically notify the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) over the telephone line, by radio or using other communications facilities. The ARC will have specific instructions regarding what to do in such a situation - contact keyholders, the Gardai, an Alarm Response Service etc. and you can rest assured that someone has been notified of an activation of your system.

This is a service provided by SAS through a fully Licenced and accredited third party.

Alarm Response & Attendance

The Gardai have changed their policy regarding Garda Response to alarm activations. They now insist on a keyholder being present on the premises before a Garda is despatched there. This, in turn, can expose keyholders to potential risk (usually in the hours of darkness) and results in a reluctance to become a keyholder in the first instance.

This potential risk has implications under Health & Safety for employers and as a result more and more companies are contracting-out their response to alarms. SAS can arrange for this Alarm Response service which is provided by properly trained and equipped personnel who are in communication with a Control Room at all times.

This removes the risk from staff, solves a Health & Safety concern and provides an effective service to enhance the security at your premises.

Remote CCTV Monitoring

The combination of a CCTV system with a service whereby pictures are viewed remotely in the event of an incident has given rise to a powerful service to increase the value of CCTV systems and potentially save on the costs associated with the need to have a Manned Guard on premises.

This Remote CCTV Monitoring has been enhanced by the availability of high-speed communication and the spread of Broadband.

When an incident occurs on premises where Remote CCTV Monitoring is installed, the activation (of an intruder alarm or other specialist device) triggers the transmission of CCTV pictures to a remote manned Control Room. The Control Room Operator can then decide on what to do depending on the circumstances (call the Gardai, instruct the intruders to leave over a PA system etc.).

Other variations of this service provide a powerful management tool to an owner/manager who can view their premises remotely and observe situations live like late opening, early closing, incorrect staff deployment etc.
